If you like cheese, or don’t but know someone who does, then you/they should check out Godminster’s new brie range. They’re hand-made using organic jersey milk and available in three flavours; plain, with peppercorns or with garlic and chives. I was sent samples of all three to try:
Goldilocks (plain) – has an incredible creamy, rich taste, that shines and oozes deliciousness.
Black Eyed Susan (peppercorns) – is very punchy and you can definitely taste the pepper. I found it a bit too strong eaten by itself and think it worked better when combined with something else. I had it in a ham sandwich – a classic combo with a pepper twist.
Vipers Grass (garlic and chives) – has a very subtle hint of both, a bit too subtle in fact as I couldn’t really detect the garlic, but never the less was my fav.
Godminster’s three organic bries are a great size for baking or in this current fab weather, picnic. They retail at £18.50 including P&P at www.godminster.com or can be bought individually from between £3.50 and £4.50.
Thanks to Godminster for sending the samples.
