Jamie Oliver Cookery School

Head Chef Dimo

By contributor Mathew Lea.

Over the last few years I’ve been to a number of cookery classes run by various different organisations. Some have been excellent and others… not so good. One in particular forbade the taking of any photos for ‘data protection’ reasons. Hogwash. It was a fab opportunity to sample the food from the many stalls, buy Christmas presents and visit the Electrolux Food Theatres that had cooking demonstrations by celebrity chefs such as; Jamie Oliver, Rachel Allen and Jean-Christophe Novelli. I do love a good festival, not so much in a knee-deep-in-mud, wash yourself with wet wipes, and sleep in a tent for 3 days kind of way – hell no, those days are well and truly gone. However, if you’re talking about an event where you can visit in a day and go home to a comfy bed after, then yeah, I can do that, and if you throw in one that describes itself as a ‘Big Feast’, well even better!
