The Only Running Footman is a gastropub and restaurant based in Mayfair and close to Berkeley Square gardens. From the outside The Only Running Footman certainly looks like your typical London pub, and true to form was suitably crowded with office types out for post work drinks, however the upstairs restaurant provides a relaxed and friendly environment for diners. A couple of years ago I ate at what turned out to be my favourite restaurant of that year, The Pig. The food was great, but what I loved most was their dedication to sourcing ingredients within a 25-mile radius. The result of which was super fresh and very seasonal food. Restaurant Review: The Alma

I attended a training course the other day ‘WordPress for beginners’ and very good it was too. So good in fact, that this blog is up as a result of it. Lunch was provided by local gastro pub, The Alma. I’d been there before, but it had been a while and in my absence they’d added a new extension at the back and a hotel. The extension was where us delegates ate. It has a boutique conservatory feel to it with glass paneling down one sidewall looking out on to a residential street.
