Let the countdown to Christmas begin – whoop! What really got me in the mood for it this year was going to the UK’s biggest Christmas food festival, Taste of Christmas, event a couple of weeks ago. It was a fab opportunity to sample the food from the many stalls, buy Christmas presents and visit the Electrolux Food Theatres that had cooking demonstrations by celebrity chefs such as; Jamie Oliver, Rachel Allen and Jean-Christophe Novelli. Restaurant Review: The Cube by Electrolux with Claude Bosi


Amuse-bouche no.1 – Hibiscus Flower and Pineapple

A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to be invited to dine at one of the most unique pop-up restaurants in town, The Cube by Electorlux (post here). And guess what? I got to go back! The chef on rotation this time was Claude Bosi, of Hibiscus Mayfair. It was the same set up as before with Bosi talking us through each dish. What I had failed to mention last time was that each course is paired with a matching wine, with the sommelier describing each one. Continue reading

Perched on the top of the Royal Festival Hall sits the temporary home of The Cube, a stunning structure that offers a very unique dining experience. Some of Britain’s top chefs are on rotation there; Sat Bains and Claude Bosi have previously done stints. Daniel Clifford, of Midsummer House, who holds two-Michelin stars, was the chef in residence when I went for one of their lunch services. Continue reading
